Thanks for your suggestions. I read the tooltips and tried your recommended settings. I am trying to use the Stroke Horizontal Key to perform a *Menu Show activewin command where activewin is a custom command list that shows a list of active windows. I still can't get it to work so perhaps I have problems as you suggest with my individual consistency and usage of this hot key. Thanks for trying to help. JB
