CM,

Instead of using HookWindows, try creating an "Open" Command List.

Create a command list called, say, WindowOpenCommands. I don't think the
name matters, but that's what I called mine.

>From the Config dialog box, on the Command Lists tab, select "Setup" in the
lower right corner.

On that dialog box, select the "Special Lists" tab, then select
WindowOpenCommands in the "open" dropdown (2nd from the top). That command
list will be executed sequentially for every new window that opens. You can
put the '*Window Max =iexplorer' command you want in there, and it should do
what you want.

For more info, click Help from that dialog box, scroll down to where the
"Special Lists" are discussed, then click on the "Open" link.

Subject: [power-pro] Using PowerPro to Max IE Windows

Hi,

I have a utility called AutoSizer running on my PC to automatically
maximise Internet Explorer windows when they open. I was wanting to
use PowerPro for this, but I'm not having any luck with it. I added
the entry to the HookWindowEvents list, but it was the exact command
that is the problem. I selected Window, and then Max (using the
windows title of *Internet Explorer*). I found that this made it so I
could not minimise Internet Explorer. Everytime I tried, it
re-maximised it again. So, I went back in and changed Max to
MaxNormal. Thankfully, when I did this, I didn't close the PowerPro
config window (I just clicked Apply and left the config open).

What happened was that my PC went crazy the moment I clicked apply -
PowerPro found a currently open IE window (which was maximised), and
it changed that to a normal sized window, then right away maximised
it, then changed it back to a normal sized window, then maximised it
again etc etc It was quite a sight to see a single IE window being
alternately maximised and unmaximised quite a few times every second.
The flashing on my monitor was very impressive. As I said, I still had
the config window open, so I was able to alt+tab to it and delete the
entry from HookWindowEvents, which stopped the problem. Anyway, there
were no other promising looking commands under Window - there were
only the Max and MaxNormal as far as I could see, so can anyone tell
me if it is possible to use PowerPro for this?

CM
