i have done so, sadly most of them are shareware or worse...
i know of one freeware program, and have used it for some time, but 
after i found out that powerpro could manage my tray icons (hiding them 
away and all that (win2k, remember)) i was hoping to do way with that 
other program...

sadly it seems that powerpro require me to do a bit of work before i can 
hand it a simple list of icons to hide and have it hide them upon 
creation, much less recover them upon a crash...
