I actually thought you were going to complain about the extra bits
that appear with some icons (eg blue e from IE) with trans=255, and
which I think indicate a bug in Windows drawiconex routine when
drawing icons with alpha blending on windows with transparent
background color (if you change the background color with trans=255,
you will see these extra bits on blue e change to match the color you
select).

Anyway, to your question about background wallpaper. There is no way
I know of for PowerPro to see the empty desktop as it is drawn by
Windows. So, instead, PowerPro has to read the wallpaper file and try
to figure out how Windows has drawn the bitmap. Right now, it only
works for tiling; at least it does in all my tests. Does it fail for
you with one of the standard, tiled Windows XP bitmaps in c:\windows?
If so, can you let me know which one, your screen resolution, and the
bar dimensions?

I have not been able to duplicate the stretching that Windows does in
order to show a properly stretched background, but may look at this
again after I work on png files.
