I'm in favor of whatever works :D I wasn't trying to suggest anything specific (this stuff is out of my realm), was just passing along info I found that could be useful and you might be unaware of. I didn't even know what ld was this morning (one of your debug messages said to see the documentation for ld options or something -- I found it on the net, but not in the pcre docs. Regards, Sheri
