When the pdf is opened in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, the search catalog index is automatically associated to the document. In the Search panel you will notice under "Where would you like to search?" the radio button is lit for "In the index named PowerPro????.pdx". If you want to search headings, you can choose "Include Bookmarks" when searching (hits will show in the bookmark panel). You will need Acrobat 6 or higher to view the files. I like the new Acrobat Reader version 8. If you set up a PowerPro control for viewing the pdf, you can put this in the more commands if you'd like the search panel to be auto-opened: Wait.for(1500,activewindow("=AcroRd32")) win.keys("{to *}{shift}{ctrl}f{ctrl}{shift}") (this assumes the command control opens the pdf in Acrobat Reader).
