Some of the dialogs are background resizeable and don't automatically
show as you found out.
For these, you can call:
setnextdialogpos(left, top, width, height, topmost)
before calling the input dialogs.
setnextdialogpos is described in "HTML Help for PowerPro" + Index +
input dialogs
Set topmost to "top" to always show.
Another method is to use the following mini-script before calling
an input dialog:
/* ShowWindow.txt
.ShowWindow("Your title")
OR
.ShowWindow("Your title", "bonus: default value for inputcancel")
*/
ARGS sTitle, sDefault
; sDefault is optional default value for inputcancel
LOCAL d2= ESC(?"\d002", ?"\")
sTitle= "?"++ d2++ REPLACECHARS(sTitle, ",", ",,")++ ;;+
"*,&,=powerpro"++ d2
EVENT.CreateMS(200, 50, "WIN.Show("++ sTitle++ ")"++ ;;+
If(sDefault!="", ESC(?"\n", ?"\")++ ;;+
"WIN.SetText(WIN.HandleFromIndex("++ sTitle++ ;;+
", 1),?"++ d2++ sDefault++ d2++ ")"), ;;+
"VISIBLEWINDOW("++ sTitle++ ")", 1)
QUIT
I like to play when I have time and the above is a "10 step
method". Why use one step when you can use 10?
Of course, there are many other ways...
