Hi Ted and hi Sean,

I tried but it did not change anything for me.

uff, thanks a lot - I will first try to understand it and then see if
I can get it running on my config...

Sean suggested

This sometimes opened up in the background, so it did not help either.

Also no effect.

This crashes my powerpro and I have to restart it.

Well, I tried similar other things and now found a solution that seems
to work:

Before I create the input dialog I create an event:
e=event.createms(600,1,"script runfile focuscommandline")
theInput = inputdefault(theInput,"CommandLine","file")

on the event i tried win.show, win.ontop... but this did not work.

Now I check if the window with focus is a powerpro window - if not I
send SHIFT-ALT-TAB, this sets the focus back to the powerpro dialog
(where it seems to have been stolen from):

theFoc = win.getfocus()
thePath = win.exepath(theFoc)
if (thePath ne "C:\Programme\PowerPro\powerpro.exe") do
        win.sendkeys("{shift}{alt}tab{shift}{alt}")
endif

So far this works. Thank you all for your help, now I can sleep in
peace again :-)

And thank you Bruce for the wonderful PowerPro!

Christoph
