I guess the context install function has not been done. I've just been
working with my pcf (copied from my own machine). Don't remember
seeing any options to do it as part of the general install.

Will try some of those next time, with various mouse hotkeys set to
bar show for the autohidden bar instead of using the options in bar
properties. I forgot to mention that Vista also has a sidebar with
gadgets on the desktop; disabling that also had no effect on the issue.
