Ultimately, your best bet will be to simply not use the caption
position at all. I'm sure only very few long-term PowerPro users do
because of the hassle involved. I have used fixed top center and fixed
top right for years. There, your bar can be always visible and usually
doesn't cover anything important. If you really need to see the full
window caption at all time, you can put it on your bar in a small /
condensed font or have it shown as a tooltip when you move the mouse
over the bar. Likewise, if you need to access the minimize / maximize
/ close buttons of the window, either align the bar so they are still
visible or integrate them into your bar.

More recently, since using a widescreen display, I've moved the
windows taskbar to the left side of the screen (vertical position) and
have designed my main PowerPro over and around it.
