Make sure your logic looks like this local newwidth = wdith of activce window if (current bar width != newwidth) do cl.setwindow... cl.refresh... endif The idea is to avoid getting into an infinite loop in refresh, if you are using the tooltip method. YOu could also try a hookwindowevents or the timer event that sgp suggests.
