I cannot explain this.  It works as expected on xp.  A couple of things:

- you cannot use the test button on the config program to try this
checkbox.  Unfortunately, the test button ignore this setting (and in
fact all the settings except the command, parameters, and directory)

- make sure you are actually using the pproconf.pcf in the user data
folder.  The shortcut that starts it should explicitly refer to that
folder
