Bah Humbug! :D Looking at it further, I think bars are working properly and there is only an issue with menus. Regrettably on a menu an item's own background is ignored (except coincidentally it shows itself when the item is hovered). I typically put a title line at the top of a menu on an item that is not enabled, but which uses own text color and a contrasting background color. I didn't previously use background images but now but I found some nice ones. Looks great on menus with this one foul exception. Regards, Sheri
