Subject: Re: [PATCH] AHCI powersaving and port-stopping (2.6.22-rc4)
Hi, I have it running with the patch from John. However, I do not see
powersavings amounting to 1W.

I just measured (console only, everything unloaded)
AHCI powersaving off: between 10.0W and 10.5W
AHCI powersaving on: between 9.7W and 10.0W
both measured for a couple of minutes with the notebook just sitting there.
So I get a max of .5W here...
One thing - when I echo to /sys/module/libata/parameters/powersave, I get the
following output in syslog:
Jun 14 15:25:27 hermes kernel: ATA: abnormal status 0x7F on port 0x00010177
Jun 14 15:25:27 hermes kernel: ata1.00: ata_hpa_resize 1: sectors = 195371568,

Jun 14 15:25:27 hermes kernel: ata1.00: ata_hpa_resize 1: sectors = 195371568,
hpa_sectors = 195371568

Jun 14 15:25:27 hermes kernel: sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write cache: enabled, read

Do you get that too (on an x60s I suppose?)
