I use something like the P3 and it is +/- 1W (the LSB) of a $400 data logging AC power meter.
However you are measuring the power before the AC-DC conversion so it will be more power than just your laptop. Not sure on your configuration, but one option is to find an old laptop power cable, cut the ends and use a DMM such as http://shop4.outpost.com/product/5427439;jsessionid=sYvkB+gmQZj0JEGPiMsN 3w**.node2?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG to measure the current between your AC-DC and laptop. You can put the DMM (when set in current mode) in series between the AC-DC positive and the laptop positive input. -Steen -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kelly Anderson Sent: Friday, February 08, 2008 10:16 AM To: hiro Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: x60s hiro wrote: > Thanks for looking over it. > I thought that the ibm drivers on windows would get the power usage > from acpi, too. The claimed accuracy is over 99.? percent. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882715001 _______________________________________________ Power mailing list [email protected] http://www.bughost.org/mailman/listinfo/power _______________________________________________ Power mailing list [email protected] http://www.bughost.org/mailman/listinfo/power
