I see this sometimes as well (like a couple of minutes ago) on a T60p 
running Fedora 8.  I've dug around to try to find a reason, but I've 
never found one that I can use to alleviate the problem.  It may be 
related to the graphics card - right now mine is running at 85degreesC.

If you find out anything, let me know.
