Hello, is there a way to shutdown one of the two cores found in Core 2 Duo processors when, even if multiple process are running, the load is low enough to be handled by one CPU?
The scheduler tries quite hard to balance processes between the two cores, even when that balancing is not really needed (listening to music in the background for example, a 2% CPU task).
