strange i wasnt using anything like vlc or some audio output at that time.
hmm..so i am having a hard time as i am unable to use my brand new laptop
for more than 2 hrs max while on the go.
can you tell me how do i start debugging this?

what does this mean?

and btw, the core cause of this  poor battery life is the large amount of
interrupts only or could be something else?
i had also tried booting with "acpi=off" an "acpi=noirq" which marginally
changed the consumption about 2 watts less.
