Thanks again for the further clarification.  My question arose because
this is a Core2, and the link you provide specifically says that Turbo
Boost is a feature of Nehalem.  I never did find anything in the Core2
datasheets regarding Turbo.

In fact on this page, there are no Core2 products listed with Turbo Boost:
