my [kernel scheduler] Load balancing tick is very high about 1000.

I have installed E17 and gnome 2.30.2 in gentoo .
Now I am in gnome when I run the powertop .
My kernel is gentoo-sources 2.6.35-r13.
Before when my kernel is gentoo-sources 2.6.34-r12 , the number is also high
.
How to decrease the number ?

Thanks a lot !
