Not really, though I have never done it, all you need to do (I believe, and
could be wrong) is to unscrew the bottom screws, the keyboard is held in by
these, but should be able to be removed. Then check that, and if it doesn't
have an internal modem, once the kb is off, what a perfect time to put one
in, they are really cheap too... Keep me updated in this, if you REALLY
don't want to, I'll go pick up an 8 tonight and disassemble mine....
