Try tightening the middle keyboard screw ALL the way down.  I believe it's a 
Torx 8.  If it just turns loosely and never tightens down, something is 
loose.  Remove the other screws and check the middle screw--see if it's 
sheared off--and check the hole for it on the bottom of the keyboard--it may 
be stripped or the brass bushing may have twisted loose.
Note, though, that he PB 500 series DOES have a pretty spongy keyboard, even 
when everything is as it should be.
