Hello Robert,
Have you tried to connect an external drive (harddrive - zipdrive)
with a functioning operating system on it and formatted the drive from
there?
Make sure that you use system software through 7.5.5 max. I used 6.0.8 on
both my Portables, one with and one without HD and "StickyClick" and they
work like a charm.
