I was looking in web pages the other day to resolve my
PB1400's inability to use the combined serial port
(printer/modem) for ANY sort of connection. I came
across a site mentioning that I should check the
settings in the Network Control Panel.
My problem is that I do not HAVE this. I am not
running 8.1 on any other computer and have no way to
compare. Is this CP supposed to be present and isn't?
Do any of you know of _another_ reason why the serial
port typically does not recognize peripherals on the
PB1400? Should I upgrade to a more recent OS?
