If you find a 3500 board, or don't need one of your other two, let me know,
as I'm looking for a working 3400 board to get our 3400/200 back on its
feet.

Never had this problem. Do you have the 3400 Service Manual? Might give you
some ideas on a D-I-Y repair. Download it in PDF from

Should be no problem. I've read that, contrary to popular belief, most
3400's are cardbus-ready out of the factory (though not compatible with
every cardbus peripheral), and lots of people have had success using a
generic USB cardbus card with their 3400. Maybe the only way to be sure,
though, is to try the USB card: in store, if possible; if you buy over the
web, ask for a 30-day return in case it's incompatible.

OWC had them at $125, IIRC. Don't know if they're still in stock though. Try

Good luck.
