Hello all,
I recently got a Megahertz V.90 56k pcmcia modem to use with my PowerBook
5300ce. Unfortunately, it won't connect over 31.2k. I've tried everything
to get it to connect. I've tried different modem scripts (3com Universal,
3com Fast Init, Usr Universal, Usr v.90, etc.), changing phone cords,
FreePPP {also tried different FreePPP init strings}, and nothing seems to
remedy the problem
Could the speed of the system (117mhz) be the limiting factor here, or could
it be another system related hardware or software issue? My blue & white G3
dials out on the same line and regularly gets connection speeds of
44.0-45.5k .
As I am a new low end Powerbook user, any help would be appreciated
I'm in digest mode. If you want to contact me directly, please do so

Thanks
