Well after overnight charging the 5300 battery seems to be dead. It started out at around 10.5 volts, after overnight, it was right at 8.0V. Bummer.
I have 1 3400 battery and it lasts around 1.5 hours of surfing the net with a 56K modem and a 3GB HD. What is common to get on a 3400/200? I have replaced the original HD with a 3GB that has 200mA less current draw than the factory installed HD. 1GB larger and 200mA less current, worth that to me! The original drive was spec'd at 700mA current draw, and the "new" one was 500mA. Is there anyone or anyplace that rebuilds the batteries? Is it worth it? I really would like to have longer battery life. Thanks! Thomas Martin -- -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
