Hmmm... Have you tried reseting the Power Manager. If you replaced the battery, then obviously that isn't the culprit. If you've been through serial charging the battery as well as the software programs you've mentioned and have tried reseting the Power Manager, my next wonder would be if something is damaged on the internal Power Supply??? Dunno... just a thought. As far as battery life goes... again, my experience isn't based on Mac's, but color laptops will usually run an average of 2 hours. The Lithium Batteries improved upon this a bit, but my best run time with a Toshiba Portege on a Lithium battery was 2 1/2 hrs.
