@#$%^&*!!! And here I thought 4GB was the LIMIT. That's why I didn't 
spring for a drive larger than that -- I wanted to still be able to 
use SCSI Disk Mode!

I just re-read the tech doc -- Technical Note TN1116, BTW -- and it 
still reads (to me, at least) like it should only be a problem on 
drives LARGER than 4GB. But, not one to try to fight city hall, I'll 
try the workaround partitioning trick and see if that makes a diff.
