I just got back from vacation and read this tread. I have a 1400 with this problem, but it has a problem with all stacked ram modules. I can get all 64 megs recognized though, by going to restart from the menu. Apparently, there was a last minute change in the memory specs from Apple, and there is a powering issue with a 'cold' start. I'm not familiar with electrical engineering jargon, so that's about all I can understand.
