I am trying to connect my 3400 to my P.O.C. 6300 to use the zip drive (of course I have no HDI/ SCSI cable or Ethernet crossover and just have ONE phone net adapter (!), so this is my only choice for now).
The 3400 (with 8.0) seems like it is showing everything I need to get it to work. The 6300 (with 8.1) Infrared panel comes up OK, but I can't choose the IR port from the AppleTalk 'Connect via:' box. I did all the standard stuff (rebuilt the desktop, zap PRAM, turn all related control panels off, reboot, turn em all back on again, reboot) Is the Infrared port really connected on 6300s, or is it just there for an optional card to use?
