A friend is about to graduate law school (an exception to lawyer jokes)
and her IBM laptop is about to die. The top right corner of the screen
is no longer visible. It's out of warranty so there's no chance of a
loaner while in for repair.

3400 to the rescue!

I'm going to loan my 3400 to her. We're hoping her ethernet card will
work in the 3400 as she connects for downloads while in class. She has
MS Office on a Windows CD and we have no idea if it will work on the
3400. She's more than two hours away so it's not easy to just drop over
and make a test.

Does anyone know, for sure, if the 3400 will read the MS Office CD?
Anyone ever try it before?

I'd also be interested to read any thoughts or tips you might have on
our idea. I'm her only hope of being able to keep up in class and want
to help if I can.

Hope I've provided enough info on the topic but feel free to e-mail me
with thoughts or questions.

Thanks for your time.

Chuck
