It is not possible to write a mac DD disk on a PC - They are actually 800k and are a format PC floppy drives cannot read.
FORTUNATELY for you the 140 has the Mac 1.4M HD floppy drive (or it SHOULD). In this case what you need is a piece of PC software called TransMac to write Mac disks on your PC. There are other software solutions, but this is what I used until I got my SCSI Zip drive working on all my systems (except this PowerBook 3400, still need an adapter cable).
