John,
The crashing seemed to start shortly after I upgraded Tech Tool 3.0.3
to 3.0.5 and the OS had a difficult time finding TT virus
definitions, they seemed to be misplaced. That's when I became
concerned that Norton AntiV and TT might not be compatible. I think I
read something that they used a different file structure.

Also, it was around this time that I installed a Newer 16bit
video-out card. However, I am also always checking with Apple
Software updates and allowing those to happen. Mostly they have been
around Carbon Lib.(now at 1.5) and QuickTime (now at 5.0.2). However,
I have also upgraded to IE 5.1 and Acrobat Reader 5.
Has anyone else seen conflicts with these? Particularly in a Nubus
system like the 1400? Could it be OS X stuff polluting my OS 9 system?

I have been under the impression that when a hard drive begins to go
there will be noticeable warnings. I would think that TT would pick
those up when it does its series of drive checks (which this drive
keeps "passing")?
Larry
