OK, I forget already and deleted your first emails, you have DSL right? And I don't know if I ever read what OS you had, just what people suggested you run.... Download the software from Asante (heh! .hqx again :) and install it. Either hook the ethernet adapter to your DSL modem RJ-45 jack, or a free port on your router, if you have one. If you have a router, you know to set up for static or DHCP on the Mac (via MacTCP control panel, I suggest static for that OS version). If you have the DSL box only, you may have to call your provider and tell them the MAC address (the unique ID of the ethernet NIC, which in this case is the ASANTE adapter- it will have the address printed on the adapter). Then set it up for DHCP or static, just like you did your PC desktop. Shouldn't be too bad. I believe, but I don't recall for certain, that the Asante software installs the ethernet etc. extensions for you; if so, you'd doing great, if not, you'll have to get them, best solution is likely from a "network boot disk" that you can find from Apple or jagshouse.com.
