You guessed it; looks like I've been burned by cheapness (no warranty on the 2-for-1). 
Would have been better to buy elsewhere. 
Does the symptom of shutting down immediately after the reserve power warning rather 
than waiting a couple minutes, then sleeping, mean anything concrete? I reiterate that 
with my old battery, this does not happen.
