Rick,
Do you have an external hard drive? Connect that to your 540c.
Make it the boot drive when iyou indicate it in the startup disk cp. After
that works, put the CD-ROM in the chain.
I wonder if your SCSI connection on your motherboard is good. I
still wonder about id #s, as well. Have you tried changing that in the
powerbook cp?
