the hard drive on my PB170 seems to have developed an intermittent fault.
Sometimes it goes fine, but sometimes when the machine tries to access the
drive, all I get is a "chk-a-chk, chk-a-chk,chk-a-chk" sound, and sometimes
"chk-a-chk, chk-a-chk, zoot, zoot; chk-a-chk, chk-a-chk, zoot, zoot".

This happens most often when the machine has been moved from site to site.
Can somebody tell me whether this a bad connection that can be fixed, or do
I need a new drive?

TIA

John Pitt
