That's only true, when you try to use it with the original AC
adapter. The PB 100 series 2A AC adapter will boot it just fine. There
isn't any excuse not to put in a 9V battery for the PRAM, though, and I
think it might be a significant factor. I wonder what kind of floppy it
takes, as I have some old ones around, pre 1.4 MB types, like 800K's. I
have the original 1992 Norton Utilities, which I wonder if it would help.
I checked out the 2nd edition of Mac and Powerbook secrets, and
they mention the Portable, but devote more time to the 100 series PB's.
I'd look around for the 1st ed.
