This thread has jolted me out of my complacent assumption that I'd be replacing my 
5300 with an iBook at some point from which I could make presentations, many of which 
would require 1024x768 res w/16-bit color.  Do more recent iBooks allow this?  I 
couldn't figure it out from Apple's site.  I'm also not sure what the distinction 
Remy's making between composite and VGA-out means:  does the VGA-out allow extended 
desktop?  or does it allow higher resolutions?
