It was worth it to me (PB5300c w/ 16Mb on the motherboard).  I bought 
my 48Mb upgrade from MemoryX and they had the best price at that 
time.  With 64Mb I have enough applications open at once to get some 
real stuff done.  Yeah, it was worth it to me.  I also put a 20Gb 
drive in it and got an Ethernet card and modem for it.
