Get a grip people. This thing was guaranteed to be covered for 7 years.  What 
car was built with a 400,000 mile warranty?  What Microwave is guaranteed for 
25years?  Let's do some comparison, and reconsider how realistic (or 
unrealistic) this expectation is for Apple to continue servicing a computer 
that was obsolete A DECADE AGO!
Apple used somebody else's connector on the 5300, which turned out to be bad. 
 THey covered it. The plastics issues have been covered, albeit slowly. Do 
you really think it's intelligent to be bashing the company that VOLUNTARILY 
GAVE YOU AN EXTRA 6 YEAR WARRANTY?!?!
