This is a Netscape problem. Most of the websites today are designed to be
viewed in Internet Explorer. It has proprietary code that causes the page
to break when viewed in Netscape. I've seen uglier stuff than this--the
parent company of where I work has their intranet page designed for IE.
There's a script that runs that corrupts a file in Netscape called fat.db.
Symptoms are that a page never loads or their email hangs at 60% or so
complete. Since everyone's home page is set to the parent company's page,
I've got a lot of experience troubleshooting the problem. (It's a hung
netscape process--kill the process & it loads okay.)

The standard fix for Netscape is to delete the cache folder. It cleans up
the corruption and you'll get a fresh cache folder. I would imagine that
putting your cache folder in a RAM disk would also be a good fix. That way
you'd have a nice new cache folder every time. The other fix, of course,
is to use Internet Explorer. That's what they'd like for you to do *grin*!
