While I haven't experimented on my Duo batteries I did with both a PB 180 and 5300c batteries. I found that if you zapped the battery it would then charge normally. How much charge it held is another matter. By zapping I mean connecting the battery terminals to a voltage source in the correct polarity and briefly causing a substantial current flow (since the battery was close to a dead short). I used a 12V bench supply. On the batteries there are "+" and "-" marks. On the PB 180 batteries those were the only connections. On the PB5300 and Duo batteries there are additional connections but the two marked ones go directly to the battery. -- Clark Martin Redwood City, CA, USA Macintosh / Internet Consulting [EMAIL PROTECTED] "I'm a designated driver on the Information Super Highway" -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
