I had the same problem a few years ago. I connected a CD-ROM drive with
just one active terminator, and a NON Apple formatter, I don't remember
wich one, but I do remember that Apple's didn't work.
So try another formatter, (Hard Disk SpeedTools works fine for me), and
connect the CD-ROM drive with your terminator, it should work. At least,
it did for me.
