If you wanted to run a Zip from an HDI-30, then you should have
bought an adapter instead of a cable. That cable will run almost any
ordinary SCSI external, but Zip drives are wierd, using DB-25 instead of
the standard Centronix 50.
What you can do at this point is to run that cable to an external
hard drive, and then run an ordinary DB-25/Centronix 50 cable to the Zip
from the external. You might need a couple of C50 terminators, one a
pass-through. Just ordinary SCSI voodoo.
