Tom, Thanks for the info.
So the 3400 Modem Extension should install from a full OS 9 CD (ie one that didn't ship with another Mac, but rather one that was purchased as a full copy of OS 9)? I hadn't tried it yet, but I'm in that boat... Originally, when I got my 3400, after using drive setup to format the disk, I installed (as I said in the last post) OS 8.6 from a G3 CD. Obviously, the G3 didn't need the 3400 extension and it wasn't included on the CD. Thus, I had to download it. Now, I have decided to upgrade, yet again, to OS 9. I have an official OS 9 CD... not one that shipped with another machine... and I was planning on using it to again wipe the drive clean and install. Will it install the modem extensions? Or should I keep my old download handy ;-) Cheers, Sionnach --- Tom Roth <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Acutally I installed from scratch (after wiping the > HD clean with Drive Setup) using an official OS 9 CD > and therefore it installed the driver.
