Actually, I tried that (well, not the voodoo stuff, but I don't have any SCSI devices
connected, so that shouldn't be necessary :<{) ). I'm going to bet that is the very
dead PRAM battery, I've seen it do some strange things to a Mac. I ordered one, will
see what it does before I pester you all with more questions....
