OOh...is that Reno drive the size of a regular portable CD player, 
roughly 5 1/2" square?

If so, you're missing the battery compartment which makes the whole 
thing about 4" deeper. This has the actual HD 50 SCSI connectors on the 
back of it, along with the ID switch and terminator dipswitch (inside 
the compartment).

You need both parts to use it as a CD drive. It'll work as a CD player 
the way it is, with an AC adapter, but not as a drive.
