Sorry, nope. The player does have room for 4 AA's in the CD portion, 
which allows it to be used as a cd player. The part I'm talking about 
has room for 8 more AA cells(!) which let it be used as a CD rom drive, too.

I'll see if someone here has a digicam I can use, I'll send you a photo 
of what it looks like.
